AMTA – American Membrane Technology Association

Join us to explore how the latest developments in membrane technology can enhance water reliability and quality. Each year this AWWA-sponsored conference reveals new directions in water and wastewater treatment technologies, desalting, and membrane bioreactor applications.

Feb. 27 – WesTech’s Dan Dye will present “Open-Platform UF: Combining OEM Standard Offerings with Custom-Engineered Concepts” at Wednesday’s Poster Session at 5 p.m. WesTech has built open-platform systems for municipal drinking water, water reuse, and industrial water treatment facilities. This session will describe a successful Kansas project as well as a variety of approaches to designing and building open-platform UF systems.

Feb. 28 – WesTech’s Libbie Linton will present “Membrane Filtration for Arsenic Removal from Groundwater in Industrial Applications” at 10:30 a.m. Her presentation is part of the session, “Approach to Removal of Specific Contaminants – Part II.” Libbie’s presentation will include background information to provide context for arsenic removal from a regulatory and health perspective, as well as a brief overview of alternate treatment methods. WesTech has extensive operating data and results from three full-scale sites across two distinctly different industrial applications (mining and power) that will be compared and presented.

Feb. 26 – WesTech’s Jake Blattman will give a presentation titled “Arsenic Removal from Mine-Influenced Water Using Membrane Filtration” at 11:05 a.m. in Room 104. His presentation is part of the “Environmental: Innovative Water Treatment” session that begins at 9 a.m.

Feb. 27 – Melissa Nichols from WesTech will be part of the 9 a.m. session: “Mining & Exploration: Innovations & Technologies: Technology Implementations: The Field Experience.” Her presentation, “Performance of a 6,000 gpm Ultrafiltration System Retrofit on a Difficult Mine Wastewater“ will be given at 11:25 a.m. in Room 503.

Feb. 27 – WesTech’s Mick McCaslin will be co-chairing a mobile session at 9 a.m., titled “Carbon in Leach (CIL) Flowsheet on Exhibit Hall Floor.” This is part of the session, “Physical Separation II: Gold Process Flowsheets - Gold Recovery with Adsorption Desorption Recovery (ADR) Circuits.” It begins at the Exhibit Hall Landing.
