WesTech Equipment Featured in New Water Treatment Facility for Michigan's Genesee County Communities 

January 24, 2018 – In the wake of the clean water public health catastrophe in Flint, Michigan, a dozen communities in Flint’s own Genesee County are now receiving drinking water from a new water treatment facility. Supplied by water from Lake Huron via the newly-built, $274-million Karegnondi Water Authority (KWA) pipeline, the $72-million Genesee County Water Treatment Plant is equipped with the latest-generation process technology, including CONTRAFAST® high-rate sludge thickening clarifiers and CenTROL® gravity filters in a cluster arrangement, designed by WesTech Engineering.

WesTech, USU, and Central Valley WRF Participate in Algal Research Grant

December 8, 2017 – The Utah Science Technology and Research (USTAR) initiative, a technology-based economic development program funded by the state of Utah, has awarded a $175,320 grant for development of a commercial algal application in the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus from municipal wastewater. The grant, awarded by USTAR’s Industry Partnership Program (IPP) to Professor Ronald Sims, Ph.D. of Utah State University (USU), supports a unique collaboration with USU, WesTech Engineering, and the Utah Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility (CVWRF).
