WesTech has an opening for a Pro-E programmer, (Structural Steel), /detailer/designer.

This position is in our SLC, Utah office

We are only accepting local candidates at this time.

Position Summary:
Produce structural steel detail drawings and program in Pro-E.

Essential Job Functions:
*Produce mechanical and structural detail fabrication drawings for industrial sedimentation in ProE.
*Detail to scale layouts of shop fabrication drawings.
*Checking of the drawings.
*Program models of water treatment equipment in Pro-E.
*Other duties as asked or assigned.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
*Must have structural steel detailing experience.
*Production oriented, self directed and motivated.
*Strong math skills (geometry/trigonometry).
*Ability to see and model in 3D.
*Working knowledge of Pro-E.
*Working knowledge of AISC steel manual.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities preferred:
*Shop experience (layout/welding/fabrication/piping).
*Excel, Inventor and Solid Works software knowledge.

Education/experience required:
*Two or four year degree in design and drafting.
*2-3 years of drafting experience.
*3-5 years modeling and programming in Pro-E.
