WesTech has an opening in their SLC, Utah office for a Field Service Tech.

Position Summary:
Visit various job sites in the US and internationally performing field service duties. 

Key Responsibilities:
Start up of equipment, mechanical trouble shooting of problems and training of plant personnel.  Conduct shop inspections, installation of structural steel components at jobsite, erection and start-up assistance.Several types of equipment will be involved in the performance of described duties.  Must be able to work without supervision, performing mechanical functions for start-up equipment and/or fixing mechanical problems.  Must be customer service oriented, representing WesTech favorably to customers.  Provide warranty repair and problem resolution.  Travel approximately 80% of the time, 90% being domestic, 10% being international, often on weekends and holidays.  Other duties as assigned or requested.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Mechanical abilities, ability to resolve basic electric/motor/VFD trouble shooting problems, related structural steel fabrication, welding and inspection experience.  Able to read and understand engineering detail drawings.  Ability to work with customers with a positive attitude in good and difficult situations.  Excellent problem solver.

Education/experience required:
High school graduate or equivalent.  Minimum of five years experience in the performance of mechanical or electrical repars of equipment in the field.  Experience detailing of mechanical or equipment similar in nature to WesTech equipment.

Education/experience preferred:
Two or four year degree in detailing,mechanical or electrical engineering.
