WesTech Announces Strategic Partnership with Nordic Water
|

The SuperDisc™ is Title 22 approved. |
By Marshall Palm
WesTech Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce a
new partnership with Nordic Water Products. WesTech,
will now have sole North American distribution rights for
the following Nordic Water product groups:
MEVA fine screens, featuring the Rotoscreen™ Step
and patented Monoscreen™ suitable for pre-membrane
treatment. New from Meva is the patented Screw Wash
Press with CPS. The Counter Pressure Screw is the
next generation of screenings washer press that cleans
and shreds screenings to 50-60% DS, with significant
volume, weight and odor reduction
NWP products include: the SuperSettler™ inclined plate
clarifiers, SuperSand™ continuous backwash upflow
sandfilters, and new to the North American market, the
SuperDisk™ consisting of multiple rotating filter discs to
achieve superior filtration performance from raw water
screening to wastewater polishing.
These technologies are sold into the municipal and
industrial water and wastewater treatment industries and
are currently installed and working in hundreds of plants
both in the United States and in Europe. WesTech
equipment is sold through a network of independent
sales representatives serving individual territories.
Nordic Water equipment had originally distributed its
products in the US through Waterlink Inc., and more
recently the MEVA line had been distributed by the
Parkson Corporation. These distribution alliances
including aftermarket sales and service will now be
superseded by the WesTech partnership.
“Nordic Water Products is well known for the
development and patenting of two products that have
been licensed throughout the world; the inclined parallel
plate clarifier and the upflow, deep bed, granular media
filter with continuous backwash.” says Jim Hanson of
WesTech Engineering. “WesTech now has access to
Nordic Water’s vast process knowledge and the latest
developments associated with these technologies. This
together with WesTech's experience and capabilities is
a powerful combination. Needless to say, we are
excited to be working with our new partners.”
WesTech will formally introduce the new product lines at
the October 2009 annual convention of the Water
Environment Federation (WEFTEC) in Orlando Florida.
