The RSD1™ Rotary Distributor sets the standard for rotary distributors. Design advantages that improve reliability and efficiency are built into these duty-proven workhorses. These same design benefits are incorporated into the more sophisticated HydroDoc™ and BioDoc® rotary distributor models, but are still the main reasons why WesTech equipment should be your choice in for fixed film process.

1. BEARINGS :
a. WesTech designs all rotary distributors with two antifriction bearings designed with an L10 life of over 30 years. The upper bearing supports all thrust loads exerted on the mechanism while the stabilizing bearing and upper bearing resist the overturning loads.
b. Both bearings are positioned above water level. Bearing contamination and corrosion are eliminated providing longer service life. The bearings are accessible and maintenance is easier.

2. PAN TEST : WesTech guarantees each of our Rotary Distributors to pass a pan test which demonstrates that the arms are providing uniform flow distribution over the surface of the filter, at minimum and maximum flow conditions. This is a critical measure of the mechanisms efficiency, and is designed into each WesTech rotary distributor.

3. SPREADERS:
a. WesTech flow spreaders are made of virtually unbreakable, corrosion-resistant, UV-protected polycarbonate. They are fully guaranteed against breakage for the life of your rotary distributor.  
b. WesTech flow spreaders are solidly connected to the arm using only one bolt for quick assembly and removal. Inside each spreader port, are fixed sized which cannot be tampered with like the slide plate orifices. This assures that the flow distribution will be as designed by the engineer. 

4. THE LOWER SEAL:  A maintenance-free lower seal is designed with a polished stainless steel seal ring. Maintenance is non existent providing for uninterrupted, worry-free operation.

6. WEIR: An adjustable inner feedwell weir produces an efficient operation at low head levels in distributors where when a high ratio of maximum to minimum plant flow is required.

7. FLUSHING GATES: Pinned and latched flushing gates on the end of each distributor arm allow for trouble-free flushing of any debris.
