WesTech Gasholder Covers are designed to store varying volumes of digester gas and to pressurize the gas for downstream utilization. These covers can be constructed using radial beams or trusses and can be used on primary or secondary digesters. Unlike floating covers, the gasholder covers ride on the digester gas rather than on the liquid surface. Ballast blocks are used to maintain the required gas pressure and effective gas storage capacity under normal operating conditions.
BENEFITS • Stored biogas is available to be used as a fuel source • Cover travel makes liquid level variation possible • Side sheet height can be designed to optimize gas storage • Slide guides allow the cover to travel above the tank wall thus increasing gas storage at high liquid levels.
