Treatment Efficiency Improves With Buoyant Media

Adsorption clarifiers using buoyant media

Published by Opflow Magazine

With increasing demands in community drinking water, treatment plants are looking at ways to maximize water production, optimize costs, and reduce downtime. Two utilities evaluated their water treatment processes and determined that they could be more efficient by replacing their older clarifiers that used heavy media with new adsorption clarifiers with buoyant media.

Opflow magazine featured these two case studies in their article about the advantages of buoyant media, written by Rich Ross, Gerry Baker, and Dave Lucey from WesTech.
