Philip Lake Appointed Industrial Branch Leader of WesTech Engineering
WesTech Engineering, Inc. announced today that Philip Lake has been appointed Industrial Branch Leader, effective July 17. Lake most recently served as WesTech’s International Business Manager. He replaces Ralph A. Cutler, who became WesTech’s President July 1.
Philip has been instrumental in managing our international operations through a period when strong market forces in the minerals beneficiation industry, one of our primary global areas of focus, has required flexibility and a strong ability to adapt, Cutler said.
This experience of leading diverse international teams, in addition to his more than 20 years of experience with minerals beneficiation and water technology solutions, makes him uniquely qualified for this position. We are looking forward to his increased leadership in his new role moving forward.
Since joining the company in 2008, Lake has spearheaded efforts to expand international sales and operations, establishing and strengthening WesTech’s presence globally, through offices in South Africa, Peru, India, China, and Brazil.
WesTech’s growth of 47% this year was due in large part to expansion in our industrial markets, Lake said.
WesTech will continue to fuel its growth by targeting specific market leading technologies for acquisition or partnerships, and by employing in-house development, to complete is full flow-sheet capability in the power, petrochemical, and minerals beneficiation industries. I look forward to driving this strong growth while ensuring that our execution on projects exceeds our customers’ expectations.
Lake, who has 23 years of experience in the water technology solutions arena, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining WesTech, he was the Operations Director at Eimco Water Technologies, overseeing engineering, purchasing, and field service departments.
