Preventative Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance

Preventative maintenance is a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures. The primary goal of preventive maintenance is to keep you up and running while maximizing the life of your equipment.

At WesTech, we understand how preventative maintenance can help your equipment reach or exceed its life expectancy.

The key components of a preventative maintenance plan are:

  • Proper lubrication of equipment and routine maintenance
  • Routine inspection of all moving parts
    • While inspecting, look for wear, listen for odd sounds and notice new smells and temperature changes - any change might identify an imminent problem.
  • Early identification of wear saves time and money in the long run
  • Keep recommended wear part on the shelf

Please refer to your owner's manual for specific maintenance instruction and contact our parts department to better understand the wear part for your specific equipment.
